She was recognized for leading the global scientific collaboration that produced the methodology and data used by decision-makers around the world. Awarded to individuals who have improved the quality, quantity, and availability of food across the globe, this honor is often called the “Nobel Prize for Food and Agriculture.” See story on p. 24.
