Maintaining your CEUs

As a CCA, you’re committed to lifelong learning and skill development. By meeting our CEU requirements, you can continue to grow and ensure growers are receiving the most accurate and technologically current recommendations.

  • 40 or more total credits within each 2-year cycle, 20 of which must be Board Approved CEUs.
  • The appropriate number of CEUs in these four categories: Nutrient Management, Soil & Water Management, Integrated Pest Management, and Crop Management

CEUs do not carryover from one cycle to the next and for those with specialty certifications, category credit and overall credit minimums will increase. Your CEU statement contains all of the CEUs you have signed into, scanned the QR code for, or self-reported. Green check marks on your CEU statement indicate that you have met the minimum requirement for that category. Red crosses indicate you have not yet met the requirement.

It is important to ensure you have met your requirements before you pay your renewal fee. If you have questions, please send us a message.

Where to get more CEUs

Use our Course Catalog to access over 230 courses. Courses include live and recorded webinars, Crops & Soils articles and quizzes and podcasts.

Once you have selected a course, you can then access it in the Online Classroom. CEUs will automatically be added to your account once you have completed the course.

Want to save on CEUs?

We offer a subscription to our Online Classroom. A subscription to the Online Classroom provides unlimited access to content for one full year from the date of purchase.

Check out our upcoming live webinars. Registration provides access to the live webinar event and to the recording for 30 days.

If you attended an activity that did not apply for CEUs, then you can report this activity to receive credit. Eligible activities are short courses, workshops, clinics, conferences, symposia, field days, college courses, or meetings that relate to any of the four CEU categories listed above. When reporting, you will need the meeting title, location, speaker information (if applicable), sponsoring organization, date, description, and what CEU category the activity fulfills. It is recommended to attach any agendas or certificates to the form as well.

Determine how many credits you receive for an activity:
30 to 45 minutes = 0.5 CEUs
46 to 75 minutes = 1.0 CEUs
76 to 105 minutes = 1.5 CEUs
106 to 135 minutes = 2.0 CEUs

Self-reported CEUs count towards your overall credit minimum and can apply to a category, but you still need to obtain 20 Board Approved credits.

This form is for Board Approved CEUs that occurred more than 30 days ago and are missing from your CEU statement. To report missing CEUs, you will need to know your certification number, the meeting title, date, and location. If you have the meeting number, that streamlines the process, but it is not necessary when reporting. You can report up to three missing meetings at a time. After reporting, allow the certification team 14 days to add these meetings to your account before you follow up.

The Foundations of Applied Agronomy training program is a set of online courses developed by the American Society of Agronomy to prepare learners for the International Certified Crop Adviser (ICCA) Exam and to build the expertise of persons in production agriculture, consulting, business, and conservation. In-field practitioners will review the knowledge and skills that are most needed by a Certified Crop Adviser (CCA), while others will obtain a foundational understanding of topics relevant to the agricultural profession.

The Sustainable Agronomy Conference is a free virtual event designed to provide valuable insights and practical knowledge for agribusiness professionals and growers. It occurs in the summer.
