Student Programs

The Societies welcome all students to attend CANVAS in Salt Lake City, Utah, November 9-12, 2025. Attend career workshops and sessions, network with industry professionals, and present your research, all while having fun with your peers. Get inspired for the next step in your academic and professional career!

Undergraduate Students

The undergraduate experience at CANVAS, through the Students of Agronomy, Soil & Environmental Sciences (SASES) program, features a special program of sessions, contests, networking, social activities, an awards banquet, and tours. The program is developed by the SASES Officers, advisors, and committees. This is a unique opportunity to experience a scientific meeting, present and compete, meet other students beyond your university (who will be your peers throughout your career), network, and meet prospective employers.

Undergraduate registration rate covers admission to all SASES programs, including the SASES Awards Dinner, the Student Keynote Afterparty, and the Presidents’ Trophy Lunch. As registered attendees, you ALSO get admission to all ASA, CSSA, and SSSA professional sessions and non-ticketed functions. Registration does not include a SASES tour.

The ACS Graduate Student Committee has developed several exciting new programs: special sessions, workshops, and even a graduate-exclusive tour. There will be endless opportunities to learn and explore at this year's Graduate Student Meeting.

Student Tours

The SASES Officers, advisors, and committees, and the ACS Graduate Student Committee coordinate tours for their respective students each year at CANVAS. Plans are still coming together, so keep an eye on the tours page for details coming in June!

Submitting an Abstract?

Submit an abstract before July 8, 2025, to share your research at CANVAS. First, you will need to decide what type of presentation you would like to give. Click the links below to learn more about each type.

Career Fair

Membership

Registration rate for student members is less than student nonmembers. As an undergraduate or graduate student, you can join one, two, or all three societies for the same price. Save hundreds by joining and then registering for the meetings. Sign up for membership today!
