Meet the Editors (During the Opening Night Reception in the Exhibit Hall from 7:30–9:00 pm)
Wondering which Society journal your research fits into? Talk to the editors about the aims and scope of their respective journals. Ask about upcoming special sections. New to publishing? Get advice from journal editors on your manuscript before you submit. Have an idea for a special section? Talk to an editor regarding your interest to lead the special section. Have an idea for a book? Meet with the books managing editor.

You collected the data—now it’s time to publish! If you’re a researcher new to publishing, you’ll find this session particularly helpful in learning how to prepare your manuscript for publication and get your data into manuscript form for submission.

Special Session: Maximize the Impact for Your Published Work (10:00–11:00 am)
Extend the visibility, discoverability, and reach of your research. Learn online search engine optimization tips and best practices! The presentation will focus on four broad steps featuring examples:

- Use keywords—select relevant keywords and key phrases and use throughout an article.
- Choose a smart title—must be descriptive and incorporate key phrases related to your topic.
- Write a good abstract—express key points and findings from your article in simple terms.
- Build links—create a network of inbound links and citations to your article.
