On June 11, Senate Agriculture Committee Republicans released their section of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act budget reconciliation bill. The Senate bill will cut spending for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by $211 billion, which is less than the House version, and will use $67 billion to pay for farm bill programs that were included in the bill. Notably, the Senate bill maintains the research investments that were included in the House bill, including $37 million for the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) and $1.25 billion for the construction or renovation of research facilities.

The section-by-section breakdown of the bill can be found here, and a one-page summary can be found here. The bill is now under review and could come up for a vote in the Senate by the end of June. Both Congress and the Trump Administration set July 4 as the target date to pass the full reconciliation bill, but negotiations could push this later into July.
