Brye, University Professor of Applied Soil Physics and Pedology, University of Arkansas November 10, 2025 Oklahoma State University, coached by Dr. Daniel Adamson (far left), finished first at the 2025 Region 4 Collegiate Soil Judging Contest on October 9 in Benton County, Arkansas. The 2025 Region 4 Collegiate Soil Judging Contest was hosted by the University of Arkansas on October 9 in Benton County, Arkansas. A total of 49 undergraduate students representing seven institutions throughout the region, including Texas Tech University, West Texas A&M University, Oklahoma State University, Texas A&M University, Stephen F. Austin University, Texas A&M University–Kingsville, and the University of Arkansas, participated in this year’s contest. Oklahoma State University took first place overall and had the second-, third-, and fourth-place individuals, Haylee Sullins, Lilli Morgan, and Braden Boston, respectively. Texas A&M University took second place overall and had the first- and fifth-place individuals, Jared Torres and Zoey Lasch, respectively. Texas Tech University took third place overall.
