Global Outreach Membership Program

The Global Outreach Membership Program is designed to provide equitable access to scientific research and colleagues worldwide for scientists and students residing in low and lower-middle-income countries as defined by the World Bank. This special program offers a 70% discount to those who meet the eligibility criteria.

Please note that to receive the discounted rate, you must have residency, live in, and be a citizen of the qualifying country. We encourage those who can afford the regular membership rate to select it so that funds are available for those who cannot.

To apply for the Global Outreach Membership Program:

  1. Confirm your residence country is listed in World Bank low-income and lower-middle-income economies.
  2. Create an account to join or log in to renew.
  3. Fill out the form below.
  4. Payment is accepted via credit card or as a check in U.S. dollars drawn from a U.S. bank account.

Agronomic Science Foundation (ASF) International Member Program

A 50% discount in addition to the Global Outreach discount is available to scientists for whom the reduced membership rate is still a hardship.

To apply:
Send letter or email message to membership@sciencesocieties.org, or via mail at ASA-CSSA-SSSA, 5585 Guilford Road, Madison, WI 53711-5801.

Include:

  • Professional vitae (may be abbreviated)
  • Approximate annual income in U.S. dollar equivalent
  • Short statement of how membership will benefit you, the scientific community, and other stakeholders
  • Reference, sent under separate cover, from a society member or official at a university, research, teaching or professional organization who know the applicant and their work. The reference should be less than one page and may be a letter or an email.

A committee will review application letters on a monthly basis and respond by email with funding decisions. Members wishing to help provide additional membership scholarships to scientists and students should contact ASF at 608-273-8080 or email us at membership@sciencesocieties.org.
