Have you ever considered serving as an elected leader in the Societies?

Whether it's as division/section chair, community leader, member of the board of directors, or president, stepping into leadership is a rewarding way to give back to your profession while helping shape the Societies.

You don't have to have all the answers—our volunteer elected leaders come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and you will have support along the way.

Serving as an elected leader is an opportunity to develop leadership skills, network and collaborate within your discipline, and make an impact on our Societies.

The call for candidates is now open: review the available positions for elected leaders, and volunteer in the fall to let division/section chairs and community leaders know you are interested in running for office. While at CANVAS, attend the division/section/community business meetings to underscore your interest. The priority deadline is Oct. 23, 2026, and the final deadline is Nov. 30, 2026.
