Vavilov's publication The Centers of Origin of Cultivated Plants (Vavilov, 1926), The Plant Phenome Journal invites submissions for a special section that celebrates and advances the legacy of Vavilov’s work through modern phenomics.The special section will highlight the new efforts to characterize unique germplasm and genebank collections using cutting-edge phenotyping technologies, data science approaches, and integrative frameworks. The goal is to bring together papers in germplasm phenomics to help understand plant population diversity and understand which populations/accessions contain unique and agriculturally useful variation that can help adapt crops to be resilient.
