To mark the 100th anniversary of N. I. Vavilov's publication The Centers of Origin of Cultivated Plants (Vavilov, 1926), The Plant Phenome Journal invites submissions for a special section that celebrates and advances the legacy of Vavilov’s work through modern phenomics.

The special section will highlight the new efforts to characterize unique germplasm and genebank collections using cutting-edge phenotyping technologies, data science approaches, and integrative frameworks. The goal is to bring together papers in germplasm phenomics to help understand plant population diversity and understand which populations/accessions contain unique and agriculturally useful variation that can help adapt crops to be resilient.
