Members interested in science advocacy can apply for an award to attend. Selected participants will receive fully funded travel and lodging. Scientists, students, and certified professionals play a vital role in advocating for food, agriculture, and natural resources research. Each year, ASA, CSSA, and SSSA members have the chance to meet with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to demonstrate the value and impact of scientific research funding.The next Congressional Visits Day will be held February 24–25, 2026. Members interested in science advocacy can apply through the Excellence in Advocacy Award or the Future Leaders in Science Award.
