Long-Term Agricultural Research Community Invites Annual Meeting Submissions

There is an exciting announcement for readers of CSA News magazine: the newly renamed Long‐Term Agricultural Research Community (LTARC) is ready to launch at the 2024 Annual Meeting of ASA, CSSA, and SSSA in San Antonio this November! This community, one of three within ASA’s Land Management and Conservation Section, has been renamed to better identify the interest of its members and the direction it is headed. This community defines long‐term agricultural research as any experiment that has been in place for at least five years.
Please consider becoming a member of the community and submitting an oral or poster paper during one of its sessions in San Antonio. The final abstract deadline is June 25. Also while at the meeting, consider attending the symposium entitled, “Climate Smart Cropping Systems: Lessons Learned and Knowledge Gaps.” This symposium, sponsored by the Land Management and Conservation Section and all three communities within it, has a little bit for everyone. If you’d like more information, feel free to reach out to Patrick Carr, LTARC Leader (Patrick.carr@montana.edu), or Tim Reinbott, Land Management and Conservation Section Head (ReinbottT@missouri.edu).
