HomePublicationsCSA NewsIssuesCSA News: Volume 69, Issue 6Free Geoscience Communication Training for SSSA Members June 3, 2024 The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) has announced that U.S.‐based members of AGI Member Societies, such as SSSA, will continue to be able to access free training in geoscience communication into next year, thanks to support from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists Foundation and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.Endorsed globally by prestigious geoscience organizations, the Practical Geocommunication course, developed by Geologize LTD, will be accessible free of charge by members of AGI Member Societies. Participants in the course gain access to a rich curriculum, including interactive lessons, challenging quizzes, and practical assignments, all facilitated by course instructor Dr. Haydon Mort. Forums for direct engagement with Dr. Mort enhance the learning experience, allowing for personalized feedback and discussion.SSSA members should go to the SSSA Society‐Wide Discussion Board to access the special code to access this free communication training course: https://bit.ly/3y2bwVf.The renewed offer extends through Feb. 15, 2025.
