University of Arkansas Finishes First at Soil-Judging Contest

The 2022 Region IV Soil-Judging Contest was hosted by Oklahoma State University on 20 October in Woodward, County OK. A total of 28 undergraduate students participated, representing six institutions throughout the region, including Texas Tech University, Oklahoma State University, Texas A&M University, Tarleton State University, West Texas A&M University, and the University of Arkansas.
The University of Arkansas took first place overall and finished first in the team-judged pit portion of the contest. The team also had the first- and second-high individuals, Katie Janson and Jonathan Brye, respectively. West Texas A&M University took second place overall and had the second-place team pit. Tarleton University took third place overall and had the fifth-high individual, Courtney Thom.
