HomePublicationsCSA NewsIssuesCSA News: Volume 68, Issue 2Field, Lab, Earth Podcast Reaches Five Years and 90 Episodes February 23, 2023 Since 2018, our Field, Lab, Earth podcast has published more than 90 episodes and collected more than 75,000 downloads across more than 150 countries. Continuing education unit (CEU) credits are available for our Certified Crip Advisers (CCAs) for all regular episodes across a variety of CEU categories, and all featured journal articles are also available free to everyone for two weeks after an episode launches. In 2022, we expanded our show to feature Student Spotlights, where we have featured the work of more than 20 Society undergraduate and graduate student members.ASA, CSSA, and SSSA launched Field, Lab, Earth in 2018 to celebrate the amazing work of our authors and to keep members, researchers, CCAs, and others up to date on the latest research in agronomic, crop, soil, and environmental sciences. The show features interviews with experts on topics ranging from microplastics to industrial hemp production, climate change to reclamation,teaching to soil health, nutrient management, integrated pest management, technological advancements, crop and root modeling, and more. Episodes run for less than an hour and are always completely free.Looking ahead, we’re excited to keep our listeners informed of current trends and timely research in our sciences. In addition, Field, Lab, Earth will continue its Student Spotlight feature, improve accessibility in our companion YouTube videos, and strive to increase awareness for each episode. We will be launching our 100th episode this year as well with accompanying celebrations and fanfare. Finally, the Societies would like to welcome the Decode 6 podcast to our podcast family.
