Native American and Alaska Native scientists and allies

We have formed a new Specialty Group for Native American and Alaska Native Scientists and Allies (NAANSA). This group is for students and professionals in academia, agriculture, and extension—specifically Indigenous individuals and allies. We envision the focus of NAANSA to be support, advocacy, and education with an emphasis on the unique challenges, contributions, and experiences of Native Americans and Alaska Natives in science and agriculture. If you are interested in participating in this group, you can join NAANSA here: www.agronomy.org/my-account/specialty-and-working-groups.
We plan to gather as a group at the Annual Meeting in Baltimore on Tuesday, 8 November from 5 to 6 pm at the Society and Diversity Showcase area in the exhibit hall. If you have input on the purpose and activities of this Specialty Group, please email Send Message with your ideas. Your input would be greatly appreciated!
