John Taylor

Dr. John Taylor was recently appointed by the ASA Board as the interim editor for Urban Agriculture & Regional Food Systems (UARFS) for two years beginning 1 Jan. 2023. Taylor is an Associate Professor of Agroecology at the University of Rhode Island. He has served as an associate editor for the journal for the past several years.

Sarah Lovell

Dr. Sarah Lovell will step down as editor of UARFS on 31 Dec. 2022. Lovell has served as editor of the journal for the past four years, leading editorial initiatives and development while directing a team of associate editors.

“I believe [UARFS] plays an important role in the publishing ecosystem for its subject areas and has tremendous growth potential. Key to realizing this potential, of course, is increasing the number of high quality articles published each year so that the journal is well positioned to apply for an impact factor in the near future. As editor, I will build on and expand the foundation laid by Dr. Lovell, the editorial board, and staff over the past few years to pursue that goal,” Taylor says.

ASA, CSSA, and their staff thank Dr. Lovell for her leadership and service to UARFS and the Societies and wish her the best in her future endeavors.
