HomePublicationsCSA NewsIssuesCSA News: Volume 65, Issue 3Spring SASES conference in Iowa February 27, 2020 The Agronomy Club at Iowa State University has been hard at work planning an enriching experience for undergraduate SASES1 members to learn about innovative agriculture in Iowa. Keynote speakers, Harry Stine and Carey Portel, will engage students in industry evolution and how to overcome adversity. The spring conference, to be held 16–18 Apr. 2020, will also have a choice of five tours, each showcasing a different part of the state.Some of the tour stops include progressive farms, turfgrass management at Jack Trice Stadium, next-level research and development, and the famous World Food Prize at Iowa's Capitol. There is something engaging for all interest areas, including soil management, precision agriculture, crop and livestock integration, and much more.The conference will also host many speakers for breakout sessions of various topics. Topics such as career development, ag entrepreneurship, and collaboration of GMOs and organics will be discussed with the opportunity to network and ask questions. These breakout sessions will allow students to engage with the speakers of their interest throughout the course of an afternoon.Come join us for this conference in Iowa!
