Dear members: In this issue of CSA News magazine, we recognize, congratulate, and thank our members who have reached decadal years of membership—40, 50, 60, and even 70 years (see p. 28)! It’s truly inspiring to serve Societies with such dedicated members. Thank you for your continuing commitment and support of the Societies and our sciences!

I also draw your attention to p. 19 where we showcase the winners of the 2019 Photo Contest. Judges reviewed more than 150 entries among the five categories. Why are photos important for science? They are great communication tools to tell your science story. Photos make an impact! Look through these photos and their winning descriptions. We think you’ll agree!

Have you seen our newly redesigned websites? With the redesigns, all of the content you have come to expect has been updated, better organized, provides more visuals, and is easier to navigate. A main goal of the redesign was to reduce the number of clicks users had to make to get the information they wanted. And, that’s good news for all our members, authors, meeting attendees, the public, and others who use our websites! On the home pages, all three sites now have “Persona” buttons on the middle of the pages. This is to easily help different audiences find the content they want. We’re excited to announce that connecting with the Societies (and all of our great content) via our ASA, CSSA, and SSSA websites is now easier with our newly redesigned websites!
