The Society of American Foresters recently honored Mary Beth Adams, visiting research faculty in the West Virginia University Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, with its 2019 Barrington Moore Memorial Award. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in biological research leading to the advancement of forestry.

Mannava Sivakumar received the Jewel of India Award from the India International Friendship Society (IIFS), presented by His Excellency Suhail Al Zarooni, chairman of the Al Zarooni Foundation, and the Certificate of Excellence by Gurpreet Singh, General Secretary, IIFS.

Yantai Gan, Research Scientist at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, has been elected a Fellow of the Academy of Science, the Royal Society of Canada. Election to the Royal Society recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Canada's intellectual breadth in their fields and are making a tremendously positive impact on the world.
