Inside this issue

Dear members: This issue of CSA News magazine contains our annual listing of theses and dissertations (see p. X). For more than 30 years, ASA, CSSA, and SSSA have published thesis and dissertation titles of graduates in the agronomic, crop, soil, and related environmental science disciplines. This year, we received more than 700 submissions from 50 universities.
Congratulations to all of our master's and Ph.D. graduates. We encourage you to take full advantage of membership in the Societies as you pursue your professional careers. Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance has paid off, and an exciting career in our sciences now begins. ASA, CSSA, and SSSA are here for you every step of the way!
I also draw your attention to this month's feature on using crop breeding to create tastier craft beverages (see p. 3). It's been a while since we've included a long-form feature story, but we still believe there is a place for it from time to time, particularly in print. CSA News magazine serves a number of purposes, one of which is to showcase our science and the work of our members. I think this is an eminently “shareable” story, beyond just our colleagues in the sciences. It'll be free to view for the public, so consider sharing it with your friends and family on social media. You can share it with others directly from the article itself (https://doi.org/10.1002/csan.20032), or you can look for our post about it on the Society Facebook and Twitter sites.
Let us know what you think about this story or the new format of the magazine (Send Message). We'd love to hear from you.
