Welsheimer receives Administrative Excellence Award

Janice Welsheimer, Executive Director of the Ohio CCA Program, has received the 2025 ICCA Administrative Excellence Award. The award recognizes outstanding regional administrative services that contribute significantly to the success of the CCA program and honors individuals or teams who demonstrate exceptional efficiency, innovation, and dedication in supporting the CCA program's mission and operations.
Janice Welsheimer, Executive Director of the Ohio CCA Program, has received the 2025 ICCA Administrative Excellence Award. The award recognizes outstanding regional administrative services that contribute significantly to the success of the CCA program and honors individuals or teams who demonstrate exceptional efficiency, innovation, and dedication in supporting the CCA program's mission and operations.
Welsheimer has been serving as the Executive Director of the Ohio CCA program since joining the Ohio AgriBusiness Association in 2017 where she also serves as the Director of Education and Professional Development.
Welsheimer ensures the Ohio CCA program runs smoothly and effectively serves its 550+ certified professionals through numerous activities, such as:
- Organizing and supporting the board of directors, including preparing meeting materials, taking minutes, and managing the elections of new board members.
- Planning and managing the Ohio CCA conference held each winter and representing the program at national and regional CCA meetings.
- Developing advertisements for the program and distributing promotional materials at various events.
- Coordinating educational tours for CCAs, such as visits to research facilities.
- Managing the Ohio CCA of the Year award process.
- Promoting the CCA program to potential new CCAs and encouraging lapsed CCAs to reinstate their certifications.
- Streamlining communications and fostering strong connections with regional and national partners to support clear and effective program communication. • Managing new CCA applicant review packets and reviewing and approving requests for CCA CEUs.
- Developing the annual budget and managing event sponsorships, grant funding, and related financial reporting.
Welsheimer is a graduate of The Ohio State University and holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics and a master's degree in adult education. She resides in Clark County, Ohio, with her husband and their two children on a commercial beef farm operation.
