Carbon and Ecosystem Services Education Initiative
The American Society of Agronomy (ASA), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) are launching a brand-new educational platform about carbon and ecosystem service markets. This science-based, impartial educational platform will provide producers, conservationists, CCAs, and CPSS’s with bite-sized, multimedia educational materials. By closing the knowledge gap with science-based insights, the Societies can help growers and their advisers make better decisions and accelerate climate-smart agriculture. Keep your eyes peeled for more information before the official launch in the summer of 2022!
Crops & Soils Magazine Looking for Regional Editors
There are three Regional Editor positions open for Crops & Soils magazine—(i) Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Region, (ii) Central/Southern Great Plains Region, and (iii) Prairie Provinces Region. Candidates for these positions should be passionate about serving the practicing professional community and getting the best research-based practices down to the farm level. They must either work or have experience working in the regions for which they apply to serve. By serving as a Regional Editor for this magazine, you could have a huge potential impact on acres across North America as CCAs are estimated to be involved in advising somewhere between half and three-quarters of the crop production acres in the U.S.!
Interested persons may nominate themselves or be nominated by an active member of ASA, CSSA, or SSSA or a CCA. Candidates should email a paragraph or two about their interest in and qualifications for the position to me at Send Message. I am happy to answer any questions about the position!
