The vision and mission of the Societies is advanced with the dedication and commitment of over 1700 committee members.
Committees carry out the following functions:
- Voting on and selecting award recipients
- Developing and recommending policy
- Providing advice on editorial issues
- Creating a rewarding and valuable member experience
If you'd like to contribute your time and be a part of a unique and positive community of member-leaders, please respond to this call for leadership. Participating as a Society volunteer is truly a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
SCISOC committees are filled by appointment by the SCISOC President-Elect. Appointment requests are gathered in the spring and summer. Appointments are made in August through November for committee service beginning the following year.
