Undergraduate Program Orientation

Run for National Office: SASES Election Information
All National Officer candidates will now have to upload a profile PRIOR to CANVAS.
Be part of the leadership of the SASES organization and guide the activities for the undergrad members in 2026.
Students of Agronomy, Soil, and Environmental Sciences will begin accepting candidates for 2026 National Officers on October 1.
- All National Officer candidates must apply before they arrive at CANVAS. Check out the Elections & Officer Duties page to learn more.
- The SASES Business Meeting is followed by Delegate training, where student representatives are trained on voting procedures. As necessary, a SASES Primary Election will take place at the conclusion of the training.
- Serve as a Club Delegate – two representatives will represent their club by voting in officer elections. Plan and select delegates to represent your club.
Career Development Sessions for Undergraduates
The SASES National Officers, Undergraduate Advisory Committee, and Society staff are hard at work putting together undergraduate career development opportunities for 2025. Check back soon for more information!
What Should I Wear?
For most SASES events, be comfortable, consider repping your club’s logo wear. Tours are very casual! If you are giving a presentation, attending a professional event that day, or attending the SASES Awards Dinner, consider business casual attire. You never know when you’ll run into a potential employer! Check out the FAQs for more information on what to expect, where to eat, and more.
Finally…
Undergrads are encouraged to participate in professional sessions and workshops within the professional schedule – not just the SASES events! Consider attending other sessions while at the meeting – tag along with your advisor or check out the program schedule to find events that may interest you.
